My Dearest Red Bird
That's the most exciting thing about love though isn't it, it's so unexpected and overwhelming and you can't possibly predict or plan for when it will hit you. All those wasted years when we were teens, dreaming of Mr. Right. Is he a blond or brunette, sporty or brainy, into music or into film. We think we have a type but then along he comes and BAM this nerdy guy with long hair and a car with mold growing on the back seat is the man or your dreams. How did that happen! I don't think you should live life any other way than both feet first. Better to feel something than nothing. I look forward to the continuing saga of Mr Ikea!
I have no coffee related romances to speak of. Shakespeare is filling my days and we are now onto Chemistry and all it's elemental glories, Biology having been picked apart down to it's first cell! I'm at that stage in homeschooling when I'm beginning to doubt my ability to provide the education the boy needs. Truth is, I think we're stars and moons ahead of his former classmates and having a lot more fun too, but what do I know from a good essay or bad. He's my baby, of course his essay's are amazing he's a genius for goodness sake! We've started looking at the option of enrolling him in a program called SIDES. It's an virtual school here in Victoria and, at least for some subjects, would give me the reassurance that his work is up to par.
I do have something to tell you that is a little upsetting.....for you anyway, not for me;p It is November 5th and today I was wearing shorts and slip on shoes! You and your flip flops should really come out here. I'll admit that we have had an awful lot of rain recently (the locals tell me it's unusual), but you can still go out and wonder around down town and it's pleasant. Seriously, I don't know why we stayed in Ottawa as long as we did. Today is actually our 14th anniversary of moving across the pond. Ottawa was only supposed to be temporary to get us in the country and then we were heading to Vancouver. Those darn children went and made friends though and before we knew it 14 years had passed. Other than having a fabulous day in the warm winter sun, I baked a cake and I send you my dear a virtual slice.

As always, yours.

(1) OMG Jealous!!! Me and my flip flops and my fresh pedicure would be there in a heartbeat!
ReplyDelete(2) I can't imagine your husband as a young man with mold growing on the back seat...good thing he's handsome or he never would have attracted a hot number like you!
(3) Homeschooling your kid would outdo my intelligence in...oh, who am I fooling, he was smarter than me when he was 5...
(4) It might be too early to use the word "love" :-)
But, I love you!
