Oh Canada
Dear Canada
I have driven your width from coast to coast and I am in love. Your Atlantic side charmed me with it's rugged coast line. Your interior forests and majestic lakes have held my gaze and soothed my soul. Your flat prairie lands basking in the warm summer sun have overwhelmed me with their life giving oceans of golden grains and nourishing crops. I have scaled your Rocky Mountains, brought to tears by your glacial beauty, inhaling your clear mountain air and gazing in wonder at your vast and deep valleys. I have come down to your west side Canada, your Pacific coast, the place I have always felt was home. You embrace me with your stunning views, the warm welcome you extend to life in sea and land and sky. You are perfect and although I have yet to spend time with you in your northern reaches I know that there too you will be glorious. That we are together Canada is almost more than I can bear. But I will honor your quintessence and protect you. I will not waste your resources and pollute your natural beauty. Let us always be together Canada, let us never drift apart, for I am in love.
Your humble servant
Sparrow
